“God, that smells good.” Patrick lifted the lid off the pot on his stove and breathed deep. “What’s in it?”

His friend Lane smiled at him, untying the chef’s apron he wore. “Green chile. Chicken. The holy trinity. Potatoes and corn. A hint of cream. Just tell him it’s chicken corn chowder.”

“You rock. And there’s cornbread?”

“Yeah. I didn’t make dessert because you said he was bringing with.”

Oh, his Oscar was the king of all things nummy.

Nummy.

Christ. Oscar made him giddy.

Lane chuckled. “Tell me we get to meet him someday.”

“I was thinking we’d head over for lunch or something. You guys free tomorrow? The day after?”

“Fin has a meeting tomorrow with some editor, but we can do day after if you can.” Lane came to him and went up on tiptoe to kiss his cheek. “Just leave it on low until you’re ready to serve. The cornbread you can nuke for ten seconds a slice.”

“Ten seconds a slice. Got it.”

“Good deal. Have fun!” Lane packed up a bunch of knives and stuff, then waved at him.

“Thanks. I owe you.”

“Eh, Fin wants details.” Lane waved and bounced off, the little bear as happy as a clam. Sweet guy.

Not as sweet as his Oscar, but Patrick liked him a lot. Which was handy, as Lane’s lover Fin was one of his best buds.

Oscar’s tiny little smart car putted up to his house about a half hour later, the blue thing like a roller skate with a metal shell.

So cute. Good thing Oscar never had to go up to Purgatory.

That little thing would explode. Boom. Possibly bing. He chuckled. His dually would eat that wee car for breakfast.

Of course, he wanted to eat up a certain tiny spirit bear.

After dinner.

He opened the door before Oscar could knock. “Hey, baby!”

“Patrick! I brought a turtle cheesecake for dessert.” Oscar immediately lifted his face for a kiss.

Patrick gave it happily, sliding one hand behind Oscar’s back. Cheesecake. Oh, he was so getting laid.

Oscar moaned for him, the little sound like a pair of boulders trying to get it on, rough and deep.

He danced them all the way inside and shut the door, then set the cheesecake aside so he could really lift Oscar against him.

Oscar was hard in his jeans, the solid body rocking against him. Such an addiction. Patrick dreamed about Oscar at night and thought about him all day.

Usually he gave up on guys about the third date. It wasn’t meanness, but Patrick was married to the job. It took a lot to distract him. Oscar had this thing. His very own thing like nothing Patrick had ever experienced.

“Patrick.” The moan vibrated his lips and made him shudder.

“Mmm. Supper is on warm. It can wait.” Patrick began stripping off clothes. His and Oscar’s.

“Waiting is good.” Oscar’s nails scraped over his chest, snagging one nipple and making it burn.

For food. Sure. There was no way he could wait for the sex. “I have lube.”

“Oh…” He loved how Oscar jerked, how the lean hips rolled like he was already fucking the tight, tiny ass.
